WHO KILLED JAMES NORRIS?

The Beginning

When my brother Jimmy walked out the door of our home in the San Francisco Bay Area on October 2nd, 1974 he said he was going to take a little trip and would be back in a few days. We never saw him again.

A few days after he left we received a postcard from a place called Inglis, on the Gulf of Mexico in Florida. The card was postmarked October 4th, 1974, the day after he left San Francisco on a red-eye flight to Miami. After that: nothing. The days passed; Jimmy was overdue. My mother started to worry and as the days dragged by her worry turned to fear and then to panic. She filed a missing persons report in San Francisco and contacted law enforcement agencies in Florida and the FBI but there was not much anyone would or could do to help. No one seemed too concerned about this young man from California who vanished from the face of the earth. Every place my mother turned for help her inquiries were met with, “He’ll turn up,” but as time passed she knew better.

What happened to Jimmy?

We wouldn’t have an answer for more than 36 years.
